Dubai family-business delegation explores governance practices in Hong Kong
Dubai Chambers reported on 25 October 2026 that the Dubai Centre for Family Businesses had organised a visit to Hong Kong for 15 leaders and senior representatives of Dubai-based family businesses. The delegation explored governance, succession planning, intergenerational wealth transfer and opportunities for cooperation with Hong Kong counterparts.
The programme included a meeting with the Hong Kong Academy for Wealth Legacy, which supports knowledge exchange and collaboration in the family office ecosystem. Discussions there addressed the role of family offices in preserving family legacies and planning for continuity across generations.
Lessons from established family enterprises
Delegates also visited Kee Wah Group and Luen Thai to examine how family enterprises have developed their businesses, preserved institutional identity and expanded internationally. The visiting businesses represented sectors including retail, real estate, investment, logistics, hospitality and manufacturing.
The centre described the visit as an exchange of practical experience and a chance to explore future partnerships. Its announcement did not report any completed investment or partnership agreements. The programme was organised by Dubai Chambers, not Epicon Capital Club.
